1. Who we are

These terms apply to all tyre fitting, balancing, TPMS servicing, and locking wheel nut removal carried out by H E Tyres Ltd — whether at our depot on Westmead Drive, Swindon, or at a location we visit for a mobile fitting. By booking a job with us, you agree to these terms.

We're a small, family-run business and we aim to be straight with you at every step. If anything here isn't clear, just call us on 01793 876 969.

2. Quotes and prices

All prices we give you are quotes based on the information you provide — tyre size, vehicle type, and the job required. A quote is not a fixed price until we've inspected the vehicle and confirmed the job.

We'll always tell you before we start if the actual price differs from the quote, and we won't carry out any additional work without your agreement first. You're never committed to a job you haven't explicitly approved.

Prices include fitting, balancing and valve replacement as standard unless we tell you otherwise. TPMS sensor work, locking nut removal, and other specialist services are priced separately.

3. Bookings and cancellations

You can book a depot slot online or by calling us. Depot bookings are confirmed by email with a calendar invite.

For mobile visits, we'll agree a date and time window with you when you enquire. We ask for a reasonable amount of notice if you need to cancel or rearrange:

  • Depot appointments: please cancel or rearrange at least 24 hours in advance using the link in your confirmation email, or by calling us.
  • Mobile visits: please give us at least 24 hours' notice. If we arrive at the agreed location and nobody is available or the vehicle isn't accessible, we may charge a callout fee to cover our travel costs — we'll always try to reach you first.

We'll do our best to keep to agreed appointment times but occasionally delays happen. We'll contact you as early as possible if we're running significantly late.

4. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the job. We accept cash, bank transfer, and all major debit and credit cards.

We retain ownership of any tyres or parts supplied until payment is received in full.

If you're not happy with the work, please tell us before you leave — or contact us as soon as possible afterwards. We'd rather sort things out directly than have you leave dissatisfied.

5. Your vehicle and our responsibility

We take care of your vehicle, but there are a few things we need you to know:

  • Pre-existing condition: we're not responsible for damage that was already present before we started work. If we notice something — a kerbed alloy, a cracked rim, seized locking nuts that risk damage during removal — we'll tell you before we proceed.
  • Alloy wheels: fitting tyres to alloys that are already damaged, corroded, or out of round carries a higher risk of issues. We'll point this out and discuss options, but if you ask us to proceed, we can't be held responsible for damage arising from the wheel's pre-existing condition.
  • Locking wheel nuts: removal of locking wheel nuts using specialist tools is generally safe, but carries a small risk of cosmetic marking to the nut or wheel. We'll take every reasonable precaution, but this risk is inherent in the process — particularly for seized or corroded nuts.
  • Access for mobile visits: you're responsible for ensuring the vehicle is accessible, on a reasonably level and safe surface, and that there's enough room for us to work. We may be unable to complete a mobile fitting if the conditions aren't safe.
We carry full public liability insurance. If we cause damage to your vehicle through our own negligence, we'll put it right.

6. Tyres and workmanship

All tyres we supply are new and sourced from reputable distributors. We don't knowingly supply tyres that are unsafe, expired, or not appropriate for your vehicle.

Our workmanship — fitting, balancing, and valve replacement — is guaranteed. If a tyre we fitted develops a fault caused by incorrect fitting rather than road damage or misuse, contact us and we'll resolve it at no extra charge.

Tyre manufacturers' warranties are separate and handled by the manufacturer. We'll assist where we can but we're not able to process manufacturer warranty claims on your behalf.

We may decline to fit a tyre if, in our professional judgement, it's not safe to do so — for example if the wheel is structurally damaged. We'll explain our reasons and won't charge for a visit where we've been unable to carry out the work for safety reasons.

7. Limitation of liability

Our liability to you in connection with any job is limited to the price you paid for that job. We're not liable for indirect losses — for example, loss of earnings or hire car costs arising from a delay in completing the work.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Your statutory rights

These terms don't affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and at a reasonable price where no price has been agreed upfront. If we fall short of that, you have the right to ask us to redo the work or to a price reduction.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last reviewed" date at the top will always reflect the current version. Changes don't affect jobs already booked or in progress.
